Update with regards the pillar at Stage 2 16/3/15 – Telstra technician in attendance. Why – customer complaining about extremely slow connectivity / outages so he was investigating. Commented on the fact that he thought there was fibre to the Stage 2 CMUX just up the road but didn’t know if anything else had been done within Stage 2. Also commented on the fact that he’d be retired before the scheduled NBN roll-out to the Gleneagles community. Happy days
Telstra’s Fibre link was installed a few years ago to the CMUX at stage 2. We are lobbying our elected representatives as hard as we can to get some movement on this front for the community. Will keep people posted via the website, and through emails for those who have registered.

Telstra working at cmux, stage 2, 9 July 2015 at 12 noon.
Telstra work done in response to issue I and I think others complained about. Work done on 9 july 2015 and 7 july in relation to it. Teccy said there is an issue with the ‘joint’ between numbers 8 and 10 Naismith Pl in Stage 2 Gleneagles. Interference with the adsl signal is being caused by the CMUX box in Learmonth. This is causing considerable loss of adsl speed to affected houses in Naismith Pl and around the adjacent section of Ivo Whitton. Work needs to be done on this. Not sure when.
Thanks Paul, appreciate the update. This is helpful to highlight the amount of work being done to try and keep the telecommunications in the Estate working.
Telstra working on cmux, stage 2 1440 16 July 2015
Our speeds have been slow (download from 0.3 to 2.70 on speed test) with dropping out several times a day mainly in the evening. Can’t be sure but seems to have started around mid July same time or not long after Telstra guy was last working on the flagstaff st box. Trying to work up the energy to deal with the Telstra run around and report it

Internet out on 18 September, estimated time to repair – 30 September.
Telstra Tech attended to the joins at corner of ivo whitton and flagstaff, noted it was a while since anyone had been there due to its state, and there was moisture. Problem still not fixed after 12 days.
