Hi, Thank you, I have updated your registration to reflect this. I will push out an email to people who have deposited the $20 soon to confirm.
Cheers
Steve
Hello Steve I paid the$20.00 on tonight 1 June.
Thanks fro all the great info on how things are going . Obviously you’ve realised know if you hand feed us we will actually do what we need to do.
I have just paid my $20 as of 2-6-17. I have updated that in my profile, is that all I need to do at present? My family & I cannot wait to get this upgrade on our service, thank you so much for all you are doing!
Hi, I moved into Gleneagles in Feb 17, I made the mistake of ordering ADSL that only gave me 0.5 Mbps download, I couldn’t send email or watch Netflix and it was overall useless, I paid $300 to get it installed, 1 month of usage and are still arguing over having to pay $300 to cancel the service early. After meeting my neighbours I found out one of the pits in Mount Vernon drive is often full of water (happening for years) and none of the houses near me use ADSL, they all use Optus wireless that I have now signed up for.
I work in I.T and can tell you that all the copper I have seen (telephone, serial communications, coaxial cable, CAT 3, CAT 5) has a limited life yet fibre that was installed into and between buildings 30 years ago is now carrying 10 Gbps (that gigabit) ethernet without problems.
Already the NBN installers will have to fix or replace the copper in the pit that services our house (at a minimum) so why not install the fibre that will support future speeds in today!
The internet is only getting bigger, imagine in a few years all your kids watching hi def Netflix, playing online games with friends, while Dad watches the hi-def football, streamed at a time that suites himself, while Mum chats to her mother in a hi-def face-time conversation. All while your ipad and home computer download updates multiple times a day to stop the latest virus.
Hi Steve, registered for NBN today and it is being installed on Mon 10 Jul.
We just transitioned our current plan to a 25/5MB solution as it runs out in Mid Dec anyway.
Telstra stated they are expecting up to 71MB from the pit (obviously shared between everyone)

Hi Steve,
Great presentation at the meeting this evening! I have registered for NBN today and hopefully will be connected soon. Lets hope everybody signs up in the next couple of weeks too!
Thanks Alex 🙂 the committee has worked hard, and we will do our very best to get to the goal. NBN should contact you with a switchover date, and hopefully your modem will arrive in the next few days.
NBN FTTN successfully connected by Telstra this morning without a hitch. Included cabling, gateway modem and VOIP cordless phones. 23.52Mbps download speed and 5.45 Mbps upload speed.
Hi Steve. NBN internet connection is working fine after cutover yesterday but the phone isn’t despite prolonged calls to Telstra. They say the wiring at the node is the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks for taking the lead on this. Your efforts are much appreciated
All good now. NBN and Telstra had different views about the issue. Telstra said the problem was at the node. NBN came to the house and said that was wrong. And guess what? The problem was at the node! Anyway, it’s fixed!
Certainly interested in improved internet speed in our area
