Rodding and Roping in Kambah

For your information, NBN’s contractors have started the process of ‘rodding and roping’ – whereby pull rope is installed between pits/pillars which will allow them to drag fibre through to the eventual Fibre To The Node (FTTN) locations.

At least this is a sign there is a start of some sort of NBN work in our area.

It is also a timely reminder to all that who have registered on the site who want to upgrade to a Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) connection as opposed to the FTTN connection using the existing old copper, to make sure they have visited the “register/your info” page and:

  • Entered their street number and street name;
  • Ticked the ‘Yes’ box against “FTTP Individual Premises Switch – Technology Choice Application”; and
  • Press the ‘update your personal details’ button.

The cost sharing process for our community through the project is an enormous opportunity to invest in the telecommunications infrastructure for the estate,  will ensure you have the best quality service for internet, and increase the market value of your homes.

Great spotting Mark and Peter, I appreciate the heads up.
