Internet: What your future household will require
An interesting article in The Conversation which talks about FTTN expectations vs FTTP, but also have an infographic which illustrates a valid point.

This is the sort of thing people need to consider – FTTN might be ok now, however it won’t meet your needs in the near future.
Hence we are doing our best to give residents the opportunity to future proof their internet connectivity now. It will be more expensive once the wholesale network is placed in the hands of the private sector.
There is no doubt there will be ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’. I suspect that those who expect the government to spend a significant amount of money upgrading the FTTN after it is rolled out may be disappointed.
