Technology Choice ‘Grouped’ individual premises applications open

As Option 1 and Option 2 of the offer presented to the Gleneagles Estate community on 22 May 2018 was not accepted by the community, the Gleneagles Estate FTTP Committee is opening up the opportunity for ‘grouped’ individual premises applications.

Option 3 of the NBNCo offer to Gleneagles Estate residents involves ‘grouped’ Individual Premises Switch applications.

• Each ‘group’ of Technology Choice Applications will require a $1,100 design and quote fee invoiced by NBNCo in order to ascertain costs and contract design.
• This fee can be split amongst applicants, however a single person must be responsible for the full payment of the design and quote fee, and the final build contract.
• As a result, this requires an individual to co-ordinate and collect funds on behalf of the group.
• The co-ordinator for a group for Stage 1 Applicants is Laurence Buchanan.  The co-ordinator for Stage 2 Applicants is Steve Ulrich. Depending on respondents (a ‘soft’ limit of 10 premises per application is currently mentioned by NBNCo) there may be a need for more persons to undertake the co-ordinator role.
